On the Radio, I Just Can't Wait to Be on the Radio.

I'm gonna be on the radio, spinning some tracks from my new album before it comes out doing my best to be quirky and entertaining on air. Sneak peak type of stuff... oh yeah. The station is WBZ Boston Radio and the show is from 1:00 - 2:00 AM October 5th. (You can listen live from the above link). The host is a guy named Jordan Rich. I'm really looking forward to meeting him and I hope you can join us in what is sure to be an entertaining interview in the wee morning hours of the timeless, nostalgic month of October.

Riddle Tip:

Think outside the box.

Original Riddle:

A woman has two cubes on her desk. On each face of both cubes there is one, single-digit number. Every day when the woman gets to work, she arranges these blocks side by side in such a way that she can display the day of the month. For example, on the 17th day of the month, one cube shows the number “1” and the second cube shows a “7”. The woman also feels strongly about displaying single digit day’s of the month like so: “0” “3” – this would be the arrangement the blocks would be in on the third day of any month. Every single-digit day of the month must begin with a “0” or else this already strange woman will freak out… trust me.

What combination of numbers appears on these two blocks to make this feat possible?

All Hail The Great Blue Whale

Hey, would you like an awesome new song that I wrote for you using only cardboard instruments and my voice? Here ya go! You can watch the music video for the song here.

UPDATE: A number of blogs have recently posted about this video, most notably "Neatorama," a top 100 blog (as reported by Technorati), and in the period of about 12 hours, the play count jumped to over 2,000! Read the original post here.

Everyone You Need to Know

Every second Friday of the month (starting in July) Googies Lounge Above the Living Room is letting me book the programming for a two hour block between 9:30 and 11:30. I book two acts that I think are awesome and then my band closes out the night with a set of our own. There is never a cover and only a one drink minimum so basically this is the cheapest live entertainment of this high a level of quality anywhere in New York City.

The audience is encouraged to sing along, blow bubbles, play cardboard instruments and engage in the show in an interactive and enjoyable way. The three acts for the night are also encouraged to collaborate so you are always sure to hear something you never have before.

Come check it out. And if you are interested in playing one of these showcases, send me an email.

Welcome to JoeRaciti.com

Man, I've been busy. I've been recording for my next release and the tracks are sounding sweet! I'm not going to be printing out CD's this time around so the only way to get my songs will be through a site I love called Amie Street. Check out the profile I have up now and become a fan if you want to be notified when I release my songs. (Did I mention they start out free and raise in price depending on demand?) So if you want my stuff on the cheap you better sign up for my email list or become my fan on Amie Street.
